Just follow these instructions, and answer the questions one at a time and as quickly as you can! Again, as quickly as you can but don’t advance until you’ve done each of them …. really. Now, scroll down (but not too fast, you might miss something).
THINK of a number from 1 to 10
MULTIPLY that number by 9
If the number is a 2-digit number, ADD the digits together
Now SUBTRACT 5
DETERMINE which letter in the alphabet corresponds to the number you ended up with (example: 1=a, 2=b, 3=c,etc.)
THINK of a country that starts with that letter
REMEMBER the last letter of the name of that country
THINK of the name of an animal that starts with that letter
REMEMBER the last letter in the name of that animal
THINK of the name of a fruit that starts with that letter
Are you thinking of a Kangaroo in Denmark eating an Orange?Isn’t that FREAKY!! If not for you, you’re among the 2% of the population whose minds are different enough to think of something else. However, 98% of people will answer with kangaroos in Denmark eating oranges when given this exercise.

today seems like it may be a baking day…so far…
- pancakes from scratch
- banana apple bread
Ooh. Banana apple bread. Googling recipe now.
When I get too anxious and nervous, when my heart feels like it’s beating out of my chest, when I’m crying and keeled over in pain, when I am worried about the “what if’s” and the “maybe’s” and the “someday’s,” when I feel inadequate and unworthy and like a failure, when I get caught up in asking myself, Is everything going to be okay?, I know that all I have to do is trust the process. Nothing happens overnight.
Good advice for everyone. Maybe the question isn’t “Is everthing going to be okay?” but “Is everything okay for the next 60 seconds?”. Trusting the process is simple, but it isn’t easy. Maybe the trick is to keep your mind off the big picture and focus on now. Maybe that will keep the panic at bay. (Maybe. I’m no expert, I just know what gets me through the day.)

The answer is twelve?
I think I’m in the wrong building.” —Charles Schulz
Why am I so angry today? Why am I taking every little snide remark from the public personally? I don’t usually care if they think I’m 100% the stupidest person they ever met, but today - well, today it all makes me pissed and I’m so mad I could hit someone. If what they say is true and “that other lady” helps them with “this”, tells them where their daughter is sitting, finds illegal downloads for them, or whatever, then “that other lady” needs to be fired, whoever she is. At the same time, why am I believing these things about my coworkers, when I know full well people lie to me all the damn time, at approximately the rate of 2 every 5 minutes?
God, I hate it when I let them get me all upset like this. Truth is, really, that I just don’t care, usually, but today I do. No, the truth is that I usually tell myself I don’t care, but today I can’t maintain that facade or let it roll off my back.
PS - While I’m on a rant, no I do not know how to get music onto your MP3 player. If it is compatible with iTunes or Windows Media Player, maybe I can figure it out. But there is no f’ing way I know how to operate every single MP3 device on the market. And no, that doesn’t make me stupid, and it doesn’t mean you should shake your head and look to the guy I’m working with. He doesn’t own one; I own three or possibly four (if you count my cell phone). Possessing a dick does not make him naturally smarter about electronics.

I have been wondering if he was going to be able to make time for this.
Yay, my laptop has arrived. Thought I changed it to be sent to my new address but thankfully the husband will drop it off at work for me so I won’t have to ride the bus with it and risk getting mugged. Now I can go back to being a tumblr addict.
Color me jealous.

from The Official Google Blog by A Googler
Many of us use Google Image Search to find imagery of people, clip art for presentations, diagrams for reports, and of course symbols and patterns for artistic inspiration. Unfortunately, searching for the perfect image can be challenging if the search results match the meaning of your query but aren’t in a style that’s useful to you. So some time ago we launched face search, which lets you limit your search results to only images containing faces (see a search without and with this option). More recently we also rolled out photo search, which limits results to images that contain photographic elements, ignoring many cartoons and drawings which may not be useful to you (see a search without and with this option).
